AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Spring cleaning is upon us, and if you’re looking to get rid of clothes, shoes, decor or kitchen supplies, Goodwill is making it easy for you!

They’ve added mobile donation trucks out in the community and most recently at Dave & Buster’s.

They’re finding solutions in coming to you, which in turn s their mission.

It’s a truck that’s hard to miss, especially when it’s in the parking lot of Dave & Buster’s.

“The need for goodwill services is growing and growing rapidly in this economy,” said Jennifer Tyner, VP of marketing and development for Goodwill. “We’ve seen a big need for our career services and education programs at Helms College as people are rethinking their careers, looking for new jobs, and really the donations are what fuel our mission.”

And in order to get more donations, they’re coming to you!

“It’s really about bringing the purpose and the play to the community, so people come here, they can donate, and then they can go over to have some fun and relaxation at Dave & Buster’s, and it’s just a way to connect the community to our t purposes,” said Tyner.

The goodwill mobile truck operates like the storefront’s drop-off.

You’re greeted by employees ready to assist.

“I like it because I get to meet a lot of different people and 99.9% of people who come to the truck are polite, and instead of throwing their goods away, they feel good about having somewhere that they can do some good and bring it to the truck,” said Virgil Murray, a transportation driver for Goodwill.

Every donation goes right back into the community through every purchase made at a Goodwill store.

On Wednesday, the non-profit ReNforce, which serves those who are justice-impacted, held the Second Chance Conference.

“That money goes directly to funding Goodwill programs, services, education, jobs and scholarships right here in the community,” said Tyner. “As we’re trying to be convenient for the community to the mission by having these donation sites where they can access them as part of their daily routine, it’s a win-win for everybody.”

You can donate at the Goodwill truck at Dave & Buster’s located at 807 Cabela Drive every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Starting this weekend, if you donate there, you’ll receive a coupon to use at Dave & Buster’s.

The official ribbon cutting is on Monday at 11 a.m.
