Woman working in garden killed by falling tree on Easter, police say

PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WWBT/Gray News) – A woman in Virginia died in a freak accident at her home on Easter Sunday.
According to police, emergency crews were called to respond to a home on Springlake Drive in Prince George County for reports of a fallen tree.
Authorities said the tree had fallen on top of the woman who was working in her garden at the time. She died at the scene.
“This incident occurred on the homeowner’s property and was accidental,” police said on Monday.
