Freddy’s Frozen Custard postpones opening in Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open its second location in the CSRA this week.
The location at 109 Charlestowne Way, off Washington Road west of Interstate 20, will open on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
The new location was supposed to open on Tuesday, but officials say it was postponed.

Drive-thru coffee chain 7 Brew has named its 2025 Flavor Madness winner – Augusta resident Elexia Lieberman.

In addition to its signature frozen custard, Freddy’s is known for its burgers, beef hot dogs and shoestring fries.
“The area along Washington Road has a steady flow of traffic and is home to a wide variety of retail businesses and restaurants, making it a great next stop for Freddy’s,” said Brett Rickert, franchise owner. “We’re excited to enter this dynamic neighborhood and bring delicious, cooked-to-order food to the surrounding businesses and residents.”
A US Foods CHEF’STORE is coming to Augusta soon
Augusta is getting a new store that up until now, folks have had to drive to Columbia or metro Atlanta for.

The freestanding restaurant seats 54 guests, has additional seating on the patio and offers drive-thru service.
Mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app and website is also available.
Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Augusta now has 2 Whataburgers in easy driving distance
Attention, Whataburger fans of the CSRA: There are now two locations of the cult-favorite fast-food restaurant less than an hour away.

The first local Freddy’s has been open for nearly two years at 505 E. Martintown Road in North Augusta.
Founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, Freddy’s has more than 550 locations across 36 states.
