Chicken With a Cop brings public, police together in North Augusta
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Wednesday in North Augusta, chicken with a cop was in full swing during the evening at the Chick-fil-A on Knox Avenue.
Officers were serving sandwiches and sides as a way for you to come out and get to know the men and women who keep our community safe.

News 12 got an updated look at the demolition of the James Brown Arena Tuesday.

There’s also plenty of fun for the kids, including up-close looks at the public safety vehicles and a fire truck!

“With heavy hearts, we want to share that after two incredible years, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of Bistro 55,” the owners said. There’s more to the story, though.

“Any time that we have the opportunity to go to any type of event, we jump on it just so the community sees us not just on calls when they need us for an emergency, they see us ing the community and giving back to the community,” said Lt. Robert Velasco, with North Augusta Public Safety.
