Attention, Walmart shoppers: Local renovations are on the way
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Several Walmart stores in the CSRA will get renovations by the end of the year.
The work is planned at five local neighborhood markets and superstores in Richmond and Columbia counties, as well as three local neighborhood markets and superstores in North Augusta and Orangeburg by the end of this year.
They include the Walmarts on South Belair, Bobby Jones Expressway, Evans to Locks Road, Windsor Spring Road, Steiner Way, Stonewall Jackson Boulevard, Knox Avenue, and Edgefield Road.

Proposed cuts could slash Georgia households’ average monthly SNAP benefits by as much as $81 a month. Community advocates warn that the consequences could be devastating.

Officials say upgrades will include easier-to-read signs and larger departments.
There will also be bigger pharmacies with private screening rooms and checkout areas.
And due to the increase of online orders, pickup and delivery areas will be expanded.
