ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - An 18-year-old suspect who allegedly shot seven people at a party last month is still on the run.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said 18-year-old Sincere Gibbs is wanted after a March 29 shooting at a party being held at 1175 Five Chop Road in Orangeburg.

Earlier this month, deputies announced they were seaching for Gibbs.

Seven party-goers were wounded in the gunfire and multiple others were trampled in the chaos that ensued.

Warrants against Gibbs include seven counts of attempted murder, three counts of instigating a riot with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one count of aggravated breach of peace.

Court records show Gibbs was out on bond for charges in Sumter County and was wearing an ankle monitor until Orangeburg County investigators say he cut his ankle monitor two weeks prior to the shooting in March.

The sheriff’s office says Gibbs is still considered to be armed and dangerous.

The shooting is now drawing the attention and concern of Solicitor Chip Finney in Sumter County.

A fire at Charles B. Webster Detention Center led to evacuations on Thursday night, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

“We have been inundated with this kind of stuff,” said Finney. “Every solicitor I know has their hands full trying to keep the community safe from people who have violated the of their bonds. We’ve got way too much violence going on in the community.”

The search continues, and Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell has a simple message for anyone helping Gibbs hide.

“We want to warn anybody that’s trying to hide him out. If you do, and we find out. You’re going to be in the next cell beside him,” said Ravenell.

The sheriff’s office says it believes Gibbs came to Orangeburg for trouble. They say details on who he was targeting are limited, but say it does not believe his targets were the seven people who were shot and trampled.

Anyone with information on Gibbs’ location is urged to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550.
