Man arrested after father finds him naked in 13-year-old girl’s bedroom, sheriff says
BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX/Gray News) - Authorities say a Kentucky man is facing several charges, including rape, after the father of a 13-year-old girl found him naked on the floor of her bedroom.
Parker D. Kramer, 20, is charged with burglary, rape and sodomy, according to Maj. Philip Ridgell with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Ridgell says Kramer told detectives that he drove from Louisville to Florence to meet a 13-year-old girl at her home. The distance between the cities is about 90 miles.
The girl’s father told deputies he woke up when he heard noises coming from his daughter’s bedroom. He said he walked into the room and found the suspect lying naked on the floor, Ridgell said.
The father told Kramer he was calling the police then went downstairs and got a handgun, according to a news release. Ridgell said the suspect ran out the front door, and the girl’s father followed him, firing three shots into the ground.
Deputies responded around 12:30 a.m. Monday and found a vehicle parked on a nearby street with no one inside. The victim’s father positively identified the suspect after he was shown a picture from a driver’s license that was attached to the vehicle’s registration, Ridgell said.
After a search on the ground and from the air, the suspect was located by a drone and arrested about 2:30 a.m.
During an interview with a detective, Kramer “made issions” that led to the rape and sodomy charges, according to the news release.
Kramer is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
