Man accused of ‘inappropriately touching’ minor in North Augusta
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 28-year-old man has been arrested after he was accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to authorities.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says Tony Adamson was arrested on Sunday following an incident in February.
The incident report states on Feb. 2, officers with the North Augusta Department of Public Safety responded to Carolina Avenue in reference to disorder.
While on scene, officers spoke with complainants, who stated they found pornographic images from the juvenile victim.

The report states the victim also mentioned to the complainants that she was touched inappropriately.
The victim told officers she was touched by Adamson, according to the report.
The victim stated the incident happened about two or three months ago “during the hurricane” on two separate occasions, according to the report.
The victim told officers she drew the images because “she was thinking about what happened with Adamson,” the report says.

Commissioner Jordan Johnson says city leaders must be mindful of downtown businesses that are struggling with parking deficiencies.

While on scene, officers say Adamson called the complainants and stated, “He would always act weird when I was in her room and that I had to keep the door open when I’m in there with her.”
The report also stated the complainants told officers they found Adamson sleeping in the victim’s bed with her in early 2024.
On Sunday, Adamson was arrested and transported to the Aiken County Detention Center.
He is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the third degree, according to jail reports.
