Washington County K-9 unit receives vest from nonprofit
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will soon receive a bullet and stab proof vest.
The sheriff’s office says unit Kenai is getting the vest thanks to a charitable donation from the nonprofit Vested Interest in K9’s Incorporated.

A group of car enthusiasts took to the streets in their cars and bikes in of Deputies White and Sikes

It will be embroidered with the words - “born to love - trained to serve - loyal always”.
The sheriff’s office thanked the nonprofit on Facebook.
Kenai is expected to have the vest within ten weeks.
“I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. for their generous donation of a protective vest for our K9 Kenai. This lifesaving equipment will help ensure Kenai stays safe while serving and protecting our community,” said Sheriff Joel Cochran.
