Bomb threats trend throughout the state of Georgia
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An evacuation that led to an early dismissal for Mercer Middle School and Grove High School is just one of the several bomb threat calls the state of Georgia has seen in just the last week.
The bomb threat Saturday at the airport was enough to put law enforcement on high alert but it turns out that in the past 7 days there have been at least 8 bomb threats across Georgia.
Two evacuations, two different parts of town, all less than 72 hours apart.

In Barrow County last Friday, five different schools around the county fell victim to bomb threat swatting calls. Apalachee High School was also included in the calls; this comes just 9 months after the deadly shooting.
None of these calls have been tied together but the investigation of each one has started.
