DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (Gray News) - A bus driver is accused of having a blood alcohol level of .221 while driving children to a school field trip.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call that a school bus was stuck in mud in the median at U.S. 50 and County Road 300 West in Washington, Indiana.

The bus driver, Steven W. Truelove, 55, was taken to Daviess Community Hospital for a drug and alcohol screen, where it was determined that his BAC level was 0.221.

Four adults and 38 children were removed from the bus, and thankfully, no one was injured.

Truelove was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
