AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Plenty of sunshine today, but another incoming front is expected to stall near the region bringing rain back in the forecast Wednesday through Saturday.

Another beautiful day with plenty of sun and seasonal highs in the low to mid-80s. Wind will be out of the west between 7-12 mph.

Showers and storms will be possible again Wednesday through Saturday as our next front arrives and stalls over the region. This will bring us beneficial rain as we are experiencing moderate drought conditions across a good portion of the CSRA.

The rain forecast late in the week is tricky. We have an omega blocking pattern across the US that will break down Wednesday and the evolution of our atmosphere ed this blocking pattern is not certain. While there are rain chances in the forecast Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - the forecast could change based on how our atmosphere evolves ed the blocking pattern. I wouldn’t cancel anything outside yet or for Mother’s Day weekend. Keep it here for updates!
