Manhunt for Screven County murder suspect ends in arrest
RINCON, Ga. (WTOC) - A manhunt for a murder suspect in Screven County that spread across county lines ended with an arrest on Wednesday evening.
According to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Demarion Butler has been arrested on a warrant for the murder of 21-year-old Isaiah Barbee.
A months-long search that started in Screven County ended up in Rincon, Ga., when police warned residents in the area to lock their doors as Butler was last seen in the area.
Saturday evening, Effingham County deputies and U.S Marshals attempted to arrest Butler in Rincon. They said Butler ran away.
Rincon Police took to social media to warn residents.

Telling them to lock their doors and that Butler is considered armed and dangerous.
The same exact thing Screven County deputies told the community almost a month ago when the manhunt began.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is once again asking for the public’s help with information regarding the unsolved murder of Throne Fleming.

Screven County deputies have been searching for Butler since April 7th when a warrant went out for his arrest.
Deputies found Barbee laying in the middle of the road with a gunshot wound.
