Grant Me Hope: Meet 11-year-old Max, who’s interested in dinosaurs
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Thousands of children in Georgia don’t have a family to call their own.
News 12 has begun a partnership with the nonprofit Grant Me Hope, which works to find homes for older children in the foster care system.
Today we want to introduce you to Max, who is 11 and looking for an active, dependable and loving adoptive family.
Max likes to study dinosaurs.
“There are omnivores, there are carnivores, there are herbivores and they all have different food chains,” said Max. “When I grow up, I wanna be a paleontologist because I like dinosaurs.
“I have all A’s,” he said. “Recess is my personal favorite, but it is reading because it’s peaceful and there’s no one talking.”
Max says a movie he watched sparked his interest in studying dinosaurs.
Grant Me Hope: 5 siblings looking for a loving family

“I thought when I watched Jurassic Park, I thought maybe it would be cool if I got into studying something else instead of sharks,” he said.
“My favorite movie is Jurassic Park, falling Kingdom. My favorite food is Hot Chicken Wings. My favorite music is rap. My favorite time of year is Christmas because of all the gifts. My favorite color is turquoise. My favorite soup is chicken noodle soup,” said Max.
Max has been with foster care for six years.
“Adoption is me getting a new, a new life, a better life,” he said. “I would like a good person to adopt me.”
Max says he likes dogs better than cats because they’re nicer and they’re much bigger.
“I think I’m a pretty nice kid,” said Max. “I have good clothes, treat them good. I treat other people good.”
“If I were to get adopted, I would bring my happiness and make everyone happy. If they weren’t good and they weren’t happy, just be happier,” said Max.
Max is looking for a forever home.
