Graniteville man dies almost 1 month after Aiken County motorcycle crash
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a Graniteville man after an accident back in April.
Mark Carr, 53, was pronounced dead on Sunday around 9 p.m. at Wellstar in Augusta, according to the Coroner’s Office.
On April 18, around 12:50 a.m., Carr was going east on Sudlow Lake Road near Mustang Drive while riding a motorcycle.
One dead, one arrested in hit and run
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says a pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle.
According to the Coroner’s Office, Carr had left the right side of the road before hitting a mailbox, a ditch, and a concrete culvert before being ejected off the motorcycle.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating.
