All clear issued after shots fired on Georgia Southern’s Armstrong Campus; one person injured

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Georgia Southern has issued an all-clear following a shelter-in-place order prompted by a report of shots fired.
EAGLE ALERT (Armstrong Campus): An “all clear” has been issued following the shelter in place. Avoid Res 1 parking lot due to an active law enforcement investigation.

According to school officials, law enforcement responded to a report of shots fired outside of Windward Commons just after 7:15 p.m.
School officials tell WTOC that Savannah Police have confirmed at least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment; the person injured is not a student.
Law enforcement is on scene near residential parking on the back end of campus. Officials say students should continue to avoid this area.
Campus police are leading this investigation.
Savannah Police said they have been told that this was not an active shooter situation, just people who shot at each other.
