Actor Joe Don Baker, known for roles in ‘James Bond’ movies, dies at 89
(Gray News) – Prolific actor Joe Don Baker, known for his roles in the “James Bond” films died May 7, his family announced in his obituary.
He was 89 years old.
“We are really sad to hear of the ing of Joe Don Baker at the age of 89,” a post from the official “007: James Bond” confirmed on X. “The Texan actor played villain Brad Whitaker in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS and CIA agent Jack Wade in GOLDENEYE and TOMORROW NEVER DIES.”
According to his obituary, Baker grew up in Texas and moved to New York City to study acting after serving in the U.S. Army.
Throughout his acting career, Baker performed in 57 movies. He starred in “Walking Tall,” “Mitchell” and more.
He also landed co-starring roles and ing parts in other major projects like, “Charlie Varrick” and three “Bond” films.
Baker’s cause of death was not released.
