Suspect convicted in 2021 quadruple shooting that killed 2 on Telfair Street

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man has been convicted in a pregnant sister, and injured two others.

Tyler Prather was convicted of the murders of Tishaa Moulton and Latoya Oglesby, District Attorney Jared Williams said Thursday.

A man ended up dead after firing gunshots that didn’t hit anyone in a Warrenton convenience store, according to authorities.

Prather, 25, was arrested May 14, 2021, and charged in the shooting that day before at an apartment 201 E. Telfair St.

In addition to killing Moultrie and Oglesby, the shooting left Prather’s mother in critical condition and injured a bystander.

After a four-day trial, it took a jury less than an hour to return a guilty verdict on all counts.

An eight-count indictment was unsealed Thursday in the Southern District of Georgia charging 30 defendants – all alleged Sex Money Murder gang and associates.

Judge John Flythe sentenced Prather to three consecutive of life without parole for the murders, plus life for feticide, plus 130 years in confinement.

Assistant District Attorneys Deshala Dixon and Alex Pacheco tried the case.
