3rd suspect arrested in 2022 Glenn Hills killing of 46-year-old man
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Richmond County deputies on Friday arrested the third suspect in a murder that happened three years ago in Augusta.
Ricardo Sanchez Daggett had been wanted in connection with the murder of 46-year-old Ahmed Jabari Hill Sr. in the 3500 block of Tullocks Hill Drive on Nov. 20, 2022, according to authorities.
3rd suspect arrested in Augusta Smoke Shop murder
A third suspect has been arrested in the January armed robbery and murder of an employee at Augusta Smoke Shop.

Daggett’s arrest warrant stated he was wanted for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

He was caught on Friday on Royal Street in Augusta during a traffic stop conducted by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division.
Two other suspects had already been captured.

Stephanie Overton was arrested soon after the slaying on a murder charge and was booked into Richmond County jail.
According to her arrest warrant, the Augusta resident is accused of aiding and abetting co-defendant Angel Burley, 40, who also was arrested soon after the shooting.
At the time of her arrest, Overton was listed on the Lake Forest Hills Elementary website as being a pre-kindergarten teacher at the Augusta school.
The Hill family has been notified of Daggett’s arrest.
Driver charged in Augusta hit-and-run that killed 24-year-old pedestrian
A pedestrian is dead and a driver is in custody after a hit-and-run on Monday, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Eugene Brantley praised the ongoing efforts of law enforcement partnerships.
“Our continued collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Task Force and federal partners like ATF is vital to ensuring justice is served. We’ve made it a priority to locate and arrest those responsible for past homicides, and today’s arrest is another step forward. Everyone deserves a safe Augusta in which to live, work, and play, and that is our mission,” Brantley said.
