‘A lot of memories come back’: Thunder Over Evans honors Armed Forces Day
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Saturday was Armed Forces Day.
Every year, our community comes together at Thunder Over Evans to thank our military service men and women of the past, present and future.
With a night of family fun, our photojournalist, Breck Brigham, was there and shares the sights and sounds as we honor our military heroes.
Woman wanted for childing endangerment and fleeing police
Jessica Harmon is wanted by the Grovetown Police Department for child endangerment and felony fleeing and eluding.

“It’s a recognition of all of the individuals who have served in all capacities, and hopefully that goes beyond one day a year, that it goes all year round. So it means a whole lot to me,” said Neil Weems, former military.
“A lot of memories come back. I’ve seen a lot of comrades, very fulfilling to see them and all the for everyone that’s come out, very pleased,” said Weems.
Victim identified in deadly motorcycle crash into low-hanging power line in Aiken County
A motorcyclist is dead after striking a low-hanging power line Friday night in Aiken County, officials say.

“I hope that they recognize what we did in the past. It has kind of paved the way for them in the future, and a lot of them recognize that,” said Weems.
