75-year-old arrested with nearly 70 pounds of cocaine hidden inside seats, authorities say

DEL RIO, Texas (Gray News) - A 75-year-old was arrested after officers found nearly 70 pounds of cocaine hidden inside the seats of his car, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
On May 9, at the Del Rio International Bridge, CBP officers searched a Chevrolet Captiva being driven by a 75-year-old Mexican citizen.
They found 32 packages containing a total of 69.71 pounds of cocaine, hidden within a compartment within the seats of the vehicle.
The cocaine had a combined estimated street value of $930,766.
The man was arrested by Texas Department of Public Safety officers and CBP seized the narcotics.
