JACKSON, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Town of Jackson has issued a boil water advisory affecting over 40 streets, we learned on Monday.

The town’s water department says this is due to low water pressure from the high-side well.

You are being asked to boil your water for at least one minute before drinking until further notice.

5 local students get 2025 South Carolina State Fair scholarship

The South Carolina State Fair has announced the 2025 recipients of its annual Ride of Your Life Scholarship program, and five of them are local.

The department says they expect to have bacteriological samples back within two to three days.

The following streets are under a boil water advisory notice:

  • Ada May Loop, Apple Valley Road, Atomic Road, Bowie Court, Brannon Street, Brown Road, Camash Circle, Chavous Road, Checkered Way, Craig Street, Daniel Drive, Double Springs Road, Draigstrip Road, Foreman Road, Foreman Street, Goodman Road, Green Pond Road, Hallman Loop, Hattie Street, Hendrix Street, Hidden Springs Road, Highland Circle, Holmes Drive, Younce Lane, Tea Rose Drive, Steed Street, Silverton Street, Silverbluff Road, Shetland Drive, Runs Creek, Ruby Street, Plum Road, Pioneer Plant Road, Mamie Street, Mcel Farm Road, Melton Court, N Silverton Street, Old Double Springs Road, Old Draw Bridge Road, Paddock Lane and Pauline Street
