Augusta is one of thirty teams competing in the field.

It will be trimmed down to 15 after 54 holes, and after an additional 18, they go to match play

The Jags haven’t won a national title since going back-to-back in 2010 and 2011.

Their last individual champion was Broc Everett in 2018, the same year they last went to the national championship.

“I think we’re playing with house money, and now we’re definitely just we’re gonna go for it out there,” said Steven Paine, Augusta men’s golf head coach. “We’re probably one of the higher seeds. So really nothing to lose mentality and we’ve had a lot of success there in the past, so that’s the goal to keep it going.”
