Rep. Buddy Carter draws protesters as Senate candidate visits Tybee
TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. - Protesters lined the sidewalk along Highway 80 between Second and Third streets to wave signs and speak out against Congressman Buddy Carter ahead of his visit on Tybee on Sunday.
Event organizers said the Republican representative cares more about fulfilling President Trump’s agenda over meeting the needs and wants of Georgians.
Ossoff raises the heat on corporate landlords amid rising rents in Georgia
U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff on Monday stepped up his call for scrutiny of large, out-of-state corporations that have purchased thousands of single-family homes across Georgia and that he says are driving up rental prices.

“Please get involved. There is a lot going on and a lot of it is centering on Project 2025 and it’s being done in a way that’s really subtle and covert so even if you are Republican or you are Independent, I really encourage people to wake up,” said protester, Joey Braverman.
Carter has announced he’s running to challenge U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff for his seat in 2026.
