Hearing set today for Ga. teen held by ICE after wrongful traffic stop
The Dalton college student wrongfully pulled over in a traffic stop — and now being held in ICE custody — will have a bond hearing.

“I was confused, but relieved it was a forced withdrawal instead of expulsion,” Tricia said.
She said she “feared this might happen,” but thought her daughter may just be removed from the dance.
Tricia said nothing in the school’s prom guidelines or the student code of conduct explicitly states LGBTQ+ individuals are not allowed to attend events. The prom took place off campus.
In a letter to the school’s principal and heaster, Emily Wright’s parents said the “decision is not reflective of the Christian values you claim to uphold,” adding they believe the school made a “discriminatory decision.”
