Student displays knife to others at Richmond County middle school

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A student brought a knife to school, according to a letter sent home to parents on Monday.

In a letter sent home to parents, Tutt Middle School s said a student brought a steak knife to school on Monday.

The student showed the knife to other students, the letter says.

s took the knife demo the student and the incident was addressed following the Code of Student Conduct and Discipline.

Waynesboro Police investigating death ruled as homicide

The Waynesboro Police Department says it is investigating a death ruled as a homicide.

Parents are asked to not allow their children to bring these types of objects to school, and to talk to them about what is appropriate to bring to school.

This is part of a string of students bringing weapons to CSRA schools, including three knifes found in one week at Columbia County schools.
