Authorities still working to solve 2022 Bamberg killing of 37-year-old
BAMBERG, S.C. - State authorities are asking for help as they continue to investigate a deadly 2022 shooting in Bamberg.
The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division said it’s still investigating the death of 37-year-old Latoya McMillan.
Body found in shallow grave under Augusta’s 15th Street bridge
A body was found in a shallow grave near the 15th Street bridge near Riverwatch Parkway on Tuesday evening, according to Richmond County deputies.
In an update Wednesday, SLED police officers in Bamberg were called on July 4, 2022, to a reported burglary on Ho Street.
While gathering information, police were told a neighbor’s front door was open. When police entered the home, SLED said that’s when McMillian was found dead from a gunshot wound.
The Bamberg Police Department requested SLED to investigate.
71-year-old’s body found in suspicious death at Bon Air Apartments
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office went to the Bon Air Apartments on Walton Way for a suspicious death.
