71-year-old’s body found in suspicious death at Bon Air Apartments

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Coroner’s Office went to the Bon Air Apartments on Walton Way for a suspicious death.
A male was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:45 p.m., according to the Coroner’s Office.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says Larry Laws, 71, was found by his nephew, who called 9-1-1.
Richmond County Homelessness Outreach Team investigating near downtown Augusta
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office HOT team is investigating near downtown Augusta.
Richmond County Road Patrol deputies requested the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit, and the death is being investigated as suspicious.
An autopsy is scheduled and the investigation is active.
