GHSA state golf championship round-up

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -Monday and Tuesday marked the 36-hole event that would determine the CSRA’s next state champions West of the Savannah River.
There are 37 former state champions from the CSRA between both the girls and boys groups.
Lakeside boys golf was on the hunt to defend last year’s 6A state title, they finished their 2025 5A campaign in third place with a 587, 13 shots back from second. Hamilton Coleman (-3) and Cooper Hawkins (+2) led the way for the Panthers.
In 5A, Greenbrier girls golf was two strokes behind McIntosh to start the final round in third place. They ended the day where they started with a score of 24 over 490. It was the Lady Pack’s third straight year with a top 3 finish at state.
Harlem girls golf finished 9th in 3A, It was their first appearance as a program in the state tournament.
In the private classification, Aquinas boys golf led through five holes before Walker, Darlington and Mt. Paran Christian started to play chase. The Fightin’ Irish just narrowly missed the playoff by one stroke, coming in third with a team total of 603.
