DURANGO, Colo. (went viral after a “high-speed” chase in downtown Durango got loose again.

Instead of a downtown chase, police said the kangaroo made its way into a neighbor’s backyard after hopping through town.

“Naturally, our officers responded to the call (again), safely wrangled him (again), and made sure he was in good hands—because public safety, even with paws and a pouch, is still public safety,” the Durango Police Department said in a social media post on Monday.

Body camera video of the roundup shows officers apprehending the kangaroo from a yard. They can be heard telling other officers “We have the kangaroo detained” before being seen placing the animal into the back of a police vehicle to take him home.

“To our four-legged friend: you’ve officially earned the title of Durango’s Most Unexpected Repeat Offender,” the department said in its post.
