GBI says twin brothers died in double suicide on Ga. mountain
HIAWASSEE, Ga. - The deaths of two brothers found on Bell Mountain in March have been ruled a double suicide, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI said hikers found 19-year-old twins Qaadir Malik Lewis and Naazir Rahim Lewis, of Lawrenceville, on March 8.
Man sought for questioning in deadly Lumpkin Road shooting
One person is wanted for questioning in connection to a deadly shooting on Lumpkin Road, according to authorities.

According to the bureau, the Towns County 911 Center received a call about two people who were found dead at the top of Bell Mountain. GBI was requested by the sheriff’s office shortly after.
Both men were found with gunshot wounds, according to GBI.
The GBI said Naazir purchased a gun before the incident and the brothers’ internet searches included how to load a gun and suicide rates in 2024.

David Grigg was found dead in an “unsafe, nasty and uninhabitable” condemned home. Now, one person has been arrested and another is wanted for questioning.

“Our heartfelt prayers are with the Lewis family at this time,” the Towns County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “For any and all information or open records requests, the GBI has stated that the investigation will be formally closed in the coming weeks.”
