AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Morning Mix host Cliff Bennett will be among the honorees at the Greater Augusta Arts Council’s annual arts awards gala.

Morning Mix is a lifestyle show presented by WRDW/WAGT, airing weekdays at 9 a.m. on Channel 12 and 11 a.m. on Channel 26.

Event organizers say the conversation gives attendees a clear view of the hunger landscape and invites meaningful input from those working closest to the issue.

The Arts Council will celebrate 40 years of honoring excellence in the arts across the region during the ceremony at 7 p.m. June 20 at the St. Paul’s River Room.

Guests will enjoy an elegant evening featuring dinner and music.

This year’s event represents a broader range of Augusta’s amazing creative community, with more awards and an elevated gala celebration, according to organizers.

One local group is donating flowers to anyone they can, including hospitals, shelters and nursing homes. They are asking you to donate your leftover flowers as well!

The evening promises an inspiring tribute to the artists, educators, cultural workers, advocates, and creative people who are shaping Augusta’s cultural landscape.

Tickets are $65 for Arts Council , $75 for non- and $125 for couples. Tickets are available at AugustaArts.com
