The Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2500 block of Lumpkin Road after a deadly shooting Wednesday evening.

An arrest warrant states Byrd conspired with Ulysses Conner, Jr. to aid in his escape. Conner allegedly left his work-release site at a Bojangles in Florence with a co-worker’s cell phone on May 1 and called Byrd 16 times.
According to documents, Byrd’s number was later found to be connected to her Cash App , leading to her arrest. A social media also reportedly identified the two as a married couple.
Conner was later found and arrested in Charlotte, N.C.

His brother, Roland Miley, was also charged with aiding his escape after allegedly making arrangements to get out of the area after Conner walked off the job.
Work-release sites are places where inmates can work outside of prison to gain job skills but are still under the supervision of correctional officers.
