ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Atlanta Braves opened a three-game series on Friday against the San Diego Padres.

It’s the fourth regular season game broadcast live on Gray Media in 2025.

The Padres visit Atlanta losers of their last six games. Despite that treacherous slump, the Padres sit in third place in the NL West at 27-21. Atlanta, on the other hand, has played better as of late. After starting the season 0-7, the Braves have climbed back to a 24-25 record. And now, outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. s the team three days shy of one calendar year since suffering a torn left ACL.
