Bremen High School quarterback who suffered spinal cord injury graduates

BREMEN, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Carson Kimball has come a long way since the night of Aug. 30, 2024.
“I was on the field Friday night and…like one last time being on the field trying to lead people,” he said.
The Bremen High School quarterback suffered a severe spine injury that left him partially paralyzed, at least for the time being.
“I’m going to walk and that’s what I’m putting my mind towards right now,” said Kimball.
Nine months later, he is accepting his diploma with a 4.0 grade point average.
“Carson’s had to put a lot of work in to stay on schedule,” said Randy Kimball, his father.
Kimball has been undergoing intense therapy, and it’s paying off.
“To be honest, the rest of the year it’s just going to be straight rehab. I’m not giving up until I walk and I know God has a plan for it,” said Kimball.
In April, he stood up for his prom photo for the first time since the injury.
“I wont lie, it’s been tough. It’s a major transition for him for our family but we’ve had a massive amount of community ,” his dad said.
Despite his circumstances, Carson Kimball remains not only optimistic, but inspirational to his family, his peers, and the world.
