ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - Deputies said a man is facing charges after a Thursday shooting in Orangeburg County.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office said 21-year-old Killah Scott was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of armed robbery, and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Authorities said the charges are linked to an incident on Bonita Lane in Holly Hill at around 5 p.m. Thursday.

A caller reported the shooting and said they and a woman drove to a location to meet someone when the suspect, later identified as Scott, opened fire with one of the bullets hitting the woman.

Deputies said the caller drove to a location near Holly Hill Elementary School, where they met with deputies. Scott was taken into custody later on Thursday.

“My investigators were able to locate and take this individual into custody before the day was out,” Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a statement. “This is just another senseless act that defies any logic at all.”
