No bomb found at Olive Garden in Augusta after threat

Deputies say nothing was found inside the business and people were allowed to go back inside.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Olive Garden employees and customers were evacuated from the Augusta building on Sunday due to a bomb threat.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to Olive Garden, located on Riverwatch Parkway, due to a bomb threat around 8:40 p.m.

Richmond County deputies and bomb squad K-9s responded to the scene and determined the building was safe.

Suspect ID’d in Bon Air Apartments shooting that sent 1 person to hospital

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in a shooting at Bon Air Apartments Saturday.

Deputies say nothing was found inside the business and people were allowed to go back inside.

The Richmond County Criminal Investigation Division is now investigating the case.
