2 players in the CSRA win big in Georgia Lottery games

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two local players won big in Georgia Lottery games in the past few days.

A Sparta resident won $1 million playing Georgia Lottery’s 2nd Edition Billionaire Club scratch-off game. The player claimed their winnings on May 16, selecting the lump sum prize option of $535,398.06. The lucky ticket was purchased at Texaco

And a Hephzibah resident won $313,390 playing Jackpot Jewels Diggi Game on Monday.

Last week, Georgia Lottery players won $43,582,384 playing scratchers.

Elsewhere in Georgia:

  • Two players won the jackpot in the May 23 Fantasy 5 drawing, each winning $104,977. The tickets were purchased at PMJ Food Mart, 1250 US Highway 84 East, Cairo, and at Ruma Food Mart, 1184 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville. The winning numbers that night were 04-20-30-33-35.
  • Another lucky player hit the jackpot in the May 26 Fantasy 5 drawing and won $176,901. The winning ticket matched all five numbers — 04-10-21-25-33 – and was purchased at Smiths Grocery, 6400 Campbellton Redwine Road, Palmetto.
  • A player in Columbus won $24,210 playing Jackpot Spectacular on Sunday.
  • A McDonough player won $10,312 playing Elephant King Jackpots on Monday.

Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the drawing date to claim prizes. As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from scratchers, Fantasy 5, and Diggi Games benefit education in the state of Georgia.
