2nd suspect arrested in deadly shooting at Augusta apartments
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A second suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at an Augusta apartment complex last week.
On Tuesday, Cam’ron Barber Harris was released from the hospital and booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, Tyler Lamont Preston, 20, was arrested, according to jail bookings.
Both Harris and Preston are in custody for the murder of 28-year-old Kameron Mason, according to the sheriff’s office.
Richmond County deputies responded to the MacArthur Park Apartments, located at 110 Integrity Drive, around 10:28 p.m. Thursday in reference to a shooting.
Deputies say they found two subjects with gunshot wounds while on scene.
The coroner’s office says Mason was shot at least one time and pronounced dead on scene at 11:36 p.m. An autopsy for Mason has been scheduled.
The second victim was transported Wellstar for treatment, according to deputies.
Man sought for questioning in deadly Lumpkin Road shooting
One person is wanted for questioning in connection to a deadly shooting on Lumpkin Road, according to authorities.

Preston is charged with one count of murder, according to jail bookings.
He was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
The deaths come amid a surge in violent crime that’s claimed about 200 lives across the CSRA in the past three years.
Communities large and small have been affected, but as the largest city in the region, Augusta has been hit especially hard.
