GBI investigates after Sparta 63-year-old found dead in the woods
SPARTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a man whose body was found in the woods.
At the request of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, GBI agents are investigating the death of John Wesley Thomas, 63, of Sparta.
His body was found Friday in the woods near the 300 block of Guill Cemetery Road.
A GBI medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
