NAVARRE, Fla. (WALA/Gray News) - A woman was rescued after police say she left a note in a bathroom stating that she was being held against her will.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday reported that deputies rescued a woman who was allegedly being held against her will and abused during a “prolonged” period of time.

Authorities said 34-year-old Jordan Blake Williams was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail on Wednesday.

Williams faces multiple domestic violence charges, including felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony kidnapping or false imprisonment, felony battery, misdemeanor battery/touch or strike and felony battery strangulation.

Deputies say the woman left a note that was found in the restroom of a Navarre business on Tuesday. In the note, she identified herself and stated that she was being held against her will at a nearby residence and was in fear for her life.

Using surveillance footage, prior case records and witness interviews, deputies identified Williams as the suspect. The sheriff’s office says it has a documented history of domestic violence incidents involving Williams and the victim.

Deputies served a search warrant on the home listed in the note and found the woman who said she wrote it. The victim reported a prolonged period of abuse that allegedly included repeated assaults, threats involving weapons and being held for several months in isolation.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of visible injuries, suspected broken bones and other trauma, the sheriff’s office said.
