NORWOOD, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One person is dead after a crash involving a log truck in Warren County on Wednesday, according to the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

Stacy Yvette King, 43, of Hephzibah, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

The coroner’s office says it responded to U.S. Highway 278 near Church Street in Norwood around 12:12 p.m. for a crash involving a log truck and a Nissan sedan.

Georgia State Patrol says that the sedan was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane and struck a loaded log truck head-on.

The corner’s office says King was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The driver of the log truck was also the only person in the vehicle, and we are unsure as to the extent of their injuries.

State Route 12 was shut down for an extended period of time, and GDOT also responded to the scene, according to troopers.
