Columbia County hosts Beach Summer Blast event for community

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Columbia County Parks, Recreation, and Events held its Beach Summer Blast event on Saturday.
The organization transformed the Evans Towne Center Park into a sandy paradise, featuring live music, food vendors and games.
Youth Fun Festival brings awareness to gun violence in Aiken
A nonprofit organization in Aiken planned a fun event Saturday for young people in the community, in an effort to help reduce violence.
Traci Hunter, who attended the event, says she was out to have a good time.
“For the food trucks, obviously, music being outside, just have a good time with the kids,” said Hunter.
