Pastor and wife face additional charges in child sex crime investigation, including attempted murder
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina/Gray News) - A sheriff’s office in South Carolina said a pastor and his wife are facing additional charges related to abuse.
In May, Myron Chorbajian and Kathleen Chorbajian were arrested after a victim reported abuse that started in the 1980s.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, warrants stated that Myron Chorbajian sexually abused multiple female children, paddled a naked victim 50 times and punched a child the face.

According to the arrest warrants, Myron Chorbajian is facing an additional two counts of attempted murder, three counts of criminal sexual conduct with minor 11 to 14 years, six counts of criminal sexual conduct with minor younger than 11 first degree, one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, 11 counts of incest, three counts of assault and battery second degree and 15 counts of abandonment of minor child under 16.
His wife, Kathleen Chorbajian, is facing 10 counts of abandonment of a minor under 16.
When the couple was arrested in May, the Southern Methodist Church said they were aware of the situation, but had no comment at that time.
