Kroger closes multiple aisles at store due to rodent infestation
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) - A Kroger store in Louisville closed multiple aisles this week after evidence of a rodent infestation was discovered.
Louisville Metro Health and Wellness Communications Director Kathy Turner said the infestation was found in three aisles with bread and pasta products at the store located on Goss Avenue.

According to Turner, all affected aisles were ordered to close, with all products from the shelves removed and the shelving for extermination to take place.
A spokesperson for Kroger said providing customers with a clean and fresh shopping experience is one of their top priorities.
“As soon as we were made aware of this incident, we immediately initiated additional cleaning and sanitization protocols at this store and have redoubled our efforts with pest control specialists,” the company shared in a statement.
According to Korger, it has also worked with the Louisville Metro Health Department to resolve the issue and to ensure the store meets cleanliness and safety standards.
