Aloha Oregon! Lia Kamanā decided to trade in her surfboard for a chance to explore the Pacific Northwest. Moving from her home state of Hawai’i and ing the FOX12 team in April 2025. You’ll be able to catch her Monday-Friday reporting for Good Day Oregon and anchoring the Noon News. 6a255g

Prior to moving to Portland, Lia was the Morning Anchor and Executive Producer for ‘Good Morning Hawai’i.’ She’s also made stops reporting and anchoring in Flint, Mich., Amarillo, Texas, Rock Springs, Wyo., Phoenix, Ariz., and Jerusalem, Israel.

One thing Lia loves about being a journalist is getting to meet people and experience places that you otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to. She maintains friendships from each stop along her journey.

In her free time, Lia loves to travel and is always planning her next big adventure. She plans on taking advantage of all the PNW has to offer when it comes to spending time outdoors. And she considers herself an occasional coffee snob and a 'foodie,' so all recommendations are welcome!

Lia is a proud graduate of Michigan State University, GO GREEN! During football and basketball seasons she schedules her days/weekends around game time.
