Mackenzie is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her B.A. in journalism, as well as a minor in sociology and the Public Affairs Communications certificate. During her time at UGA, Mackenzie reported for WUOG's Athens Journal News and Grady Newsource. When she wasn't in the classroom or out in the Athens community reporting, Mackenzie spent most of her time performing with the UGA Redcoat Band Flagline at football games. Go Dawgs!
Mackenzie is originally from Effingham County. She attended Effingham County High School where she was a proud member of the Rebel Regiment marching band and yearbook club. When she's not reporting, she loves to read, watch new shows, go to the beach and hang out with her friends and family.
Mackenzie is very excited to be back in the community she grew up in. She can't wait to share stories in and around her hometown.
