Summer graduated from the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication Studies and a double minor in Spanish and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. While at UGA, she interned with the Department of Communications Studies for Increased Alumni Engagement and spent her Wednesday's at yoga club.
Despite growing up loving the Florida Gators, (her grandparents met and fell in love at the University of Florida) she is now a proud UGA fan. Go Dawgs!
Summer was born and raised in Tampa, Florida before moving around and ending up in Richmond Hill, Georgia for the majority of her adolescence. After spending the majority of her life just a drive away from the beach, Summer decided to move back down to the coast after graduating college. She's excited to learn from and share news with her community on a digital platform.
When she's not in the office, Summer enjoys reading, walking around Forsyth Park, and spending time with her friends and family!
