A video is going viral after a Queen Creek man on the autism spectrum got a free ice-cold treat from an ice cream truck. Chase Witherby is 21 years old but functions like an 8-year-old because of his autism. The video shows him thanking the owners and then going inside the house to tell his mom what happened. A man previously convicted of scamming dozens of people is in trouble with the law again, accused of murdering a Mesa woman over money. Police said Derek Bollswinkel shot and killed 82-year-old 82-year-old Linda Baran in February and then used her debit card to withdraw $4,000. About 10 years ago, he previously ripped off people by making fake promises through his "house sitting" program. Steven Sarabia reports.

A retired Phoenix police assistant chief offered some insight into how the police department is preparing if protests like the ones in LA occur in the Valley. Andy Anderson said law Enforcement is monitoring social media for any possible protests and people who might go there for the wrong reasons. He added the Phoenix Police Department has learned from the Black Lives Matter protests from five years ago, where some criticized their interactions with protesters. Zach Prelutsky reports.
