Aiken man wins $2M, Ehrhardt player wins $300K in lottery

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - There are a couple of big lottery winners in the CSRA: An Aiken winner of $2 million and an Ehrhardt winner of $300,000.
The Aiken lottery player just ed the millionaire’s club after winning $2 million on a scratch-off ticket.
“I wasn’t expecting it,” he said.
The winner described how he stood next to his car and scratched the $20 Millionaire’s Club ticket, couldn’t believe it when he saw how much he won, and headed straight to Columbia to cash in the seven-figure payday.
“I still don’t feel like a millionaire,” he said.
The winner beat the 1 in 1,260,000 odds to leave three more top prizes of $2 million remaining in the Millionaire’s Club game.
For selling the claimed ticket, Circle K Store 5351 at 1014 E. Pine Log Road received a commission of $20,000.
He’s at least the second recent double millionaire in the CSRA. One Hephzibah resident recently won $2 in a Powerball drawing.
Meanwhile, an Ehrhardt lottery player won $300,000, also from a scratch-off ticket.
She texted her daughter with an emergency: She’d just won $300,000 and couldn’t believe it.
“You might need to send an ambulance,” she joked, overcome with joy by the win.
After work, the winner says she dropped by the Ehrhardt Speed Stop on Broxton Bridge Road in Ehrhardt and picked out a $10 Sapphire Blue scratch-off ticket.
Now she’s looking to buy a house.
“This is my year,” she told lottery officials.
The win leaves four top prizes of $300,000 in Sapphire Blue game at odds of 1 in 984,000.
Ehrhardt Speed Stop in Ehrhardt received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
